Food & Farmworker Justice

Protecting the People Who Power Florida’s Food System

OUR MISSION
To build a food system that honors the dignity, safety, and economic security of farmworkers and food system workers by supporting equitable policy solutions, expanding opportunity, and elevating worker voice across Florida.

• The Florida Food Policy Council works with local councils, worker advocates, and community partners to advance policies that protect farmworkers and strengthen labor equity across Florida’s food system.

• Farmworkers and food system workers benefit from stronger workplace protections, expanded access to healthcare and nutrition programs, and greater inclusion in policy discussions that affect their livelihoods.

• When labor standards improve, agricultural operations are more stable, supply chains are more reliable, and communities experience stronger economic resilience.

• FLFPC supports technical assistance, coordination, and strategic alignment to help local networks address labor challenges and build pathways toward long-term economic opportunity.

• Through collaboration with growers, worker organizations, and public agencies, we help ensure that food system investments reflect both productivity and fairness.
